Technology Changes Morality collects the writing of Lee Strauss (also published as Lee J. Strauss) — essays, plays, short fiction, and recorded talks circling a single idea: that our technological power has raced far ahead of our moral and behavioral development, and that the obstacles to closing that gap are largely subliminal, rooted in the body, in language, and in inherited habits of culture.

Born in 1947, Strauss has spent a lifetime writing across forms — argument, satire, parable, and stage play — and, in recent years, building and running a theatre for young people in Jamaica. The through-line of the work is an attempt to make visible the hidden mechanisms that keep us repeating destructive patterns, and to imagine what it would take to change them.
